Board of directors
Our board of directors has a strong mix of commercial, financial
and industrial experience. It comprises a chair, eight
non-executive directors and an executive director, Siân Lloyd Jones.
Ian Johnson

Ian is Finance Wales’ chairman. He’s been involved in the
start-up, growth and flotation of a number of companies, including
Biotrace International, where he was CEO. He’s currently chairman
of Evans Analytical Group and deputy chairman of AOU Medical, both
AIM-listed companies. He’s also a non-executive director of the
Ruskinn Group and an advisor to Tate and Lyle Ventures.
Jane Clayton

Jane is a practising chartered accountant with more than 30
years’ experience of working with SMEs. She was a director and
chairman of Swansea Building Society, deputy chair of an NHS Trust
and board member of an academic spin-out company. Jane is currently
chairman of Bay Leisure Ltd, a leisure trust operating leisure
services in the Swansea area and a practice director at Graham
Evans & Partners LLP, solicitors in Swansea.
Ivar Grey

Ivar is a chartered accountant and member of the Competition
Commission. He recently retired as partner of KPMG, having worked
for its predecessor for over 20 years. He advises publicly-listed
and private companies and public sector bodies on finance, audit
and corporate governance and is a forensic accountant, working on
criminal and civic cases.
Clive John

Clive has over 20 years’ experience in the private equity
industry. He was chair of a thriving digital diagnostics business
and worked for Lloyds TSB Development Capital (LDC). He has
considerable experience of investing in and growing private
companies and has sat on the board of a number of other companies,
across a wide range of industries.
Mike Killick

Mike is chief financial officer of The Peacock Group, having
previously been company secretary and group financial director.
Prior to this, he held a number of senior financial management
positions with Trusthouse Forte, The Burton Group and Airtours. He
was the finance director for a private equity-backed SME retail
insurance broker.
Peter Radcliffe
Peter
has been a senior executive in four FTSE 100 and US Fortune 250
bank and IT companies, including two years as managing director of
FDC Asia Pacific. He’s president of Enterprise 100, Centre for
Entrepreneurship at London Business School and he chairs the
Combined London University and Colleges Technology Challenge Fund.
He was one of the first xénos
business angels.
Chris Rowlands
Chris Rowlands is the author and the
chairman of the UK Government’s Rowlands Growth Capital Review. He
began his career with Barclays Bank in 1973. He was a director at
3i Investments plc until his retirement as managing partner for
Asia. He’s currently deputy chairman of the Principality Building
Society.
Graham Thelwall Jones

Graham is a stockbroker and investment manager. He’s a former
chairman of Liverpool Chamber of Commerce and a founder member of
the Merseyside Special Investment Fund. He’s also a former
treasurer of the University of Liverpool and has been involved in
the commercial exploitation of academic ideas.
