Why we invested
Orthos is an early stage company with a
range of products already on sale or in development. It has
relocated from Wales from Bristol.
The company has a track record of identifying and developing
innovative products. Its IP is a mouldable synthetic bone
substitute, increasingly used by surgeons to treat spinal bone
defects.
Outcome
Orthos will use the investment to increase sales by expanding
its product range and entering new markets. The company plans to
support sales of its current products while developing new ones and
bringing them to market.
It plans to target new growing markets, including new treatments
for increasingly prevalent bone conditions.
Orthos has also strengthened its management team by appointing a
new Chief Executive and Non-Executive Director, both prominent
industry experts.
