Why we invested
PhotoMetrix had strong IP in a potentially market-leading
product with no direct competion. The company’s directors had a
clear roadmap for product development and were mentored by Doug
Hampson, commercial spin-out manager at the University of
Glamorgan.
The outcome
PhotoMetrix is now taking orders and has entered talks with
distributors. Its developers are adapting the core product to suit
new markets, including wound healing and police forensics. The
management team has expanded to appoint non-executive directors and
consultants who will develop the company’s business strategy.
